Each private speech-language pathologist sets their own hours of availability and rates for services as part of managing their private practice as their own business. As a benefit to members and the public, ASAPP has recommended an hourly rate so that speech-language pathologists and clients have some expectations of costs before a service is sought or provided. Be sure to confirm the hourly rate with the private speech-language pathologist when making an appointment. Private speech-language pathology services are typically provided within your home or another agreed location. Payment is due following each session or by invoice. Again, be sure to confirm this when making your appointment.
